Novices
Members who have progressed from our Beginners class should attend the junior class.
Children need to be at least eight years old to attend these sessions.
About the class
Our Novices class will give members the chance to improve their fitness and also take what they have learned from the Beginners class and develop their technical skills further. The classes are run by ABA qualified, CRB checked coaches.
What will I need?
You should ensure that you have:
- Comfortable training clothes and footwear.
- A bottle of water.
- Warm, dry clothes to change into after the session is complete.
Before spending money on gloves we have pairs available at the club that you are welcome to use while trying out the sport.
So, how do we get started?
If you are interested, please come down to one of the classes and ask for Michael or Margaret Welsh.

- £15.00 annual membership fee.
- £1.00 subs charge per session.
The Empire School of Boxing are exceptional. The team who performed at the Blyth Town Fair on the 23rd of July 2011…………STOPPED THE CLOCKS, almostt everyone who was near their display turned their heads and stayed for the full display in the morning and again in the afternoon.

Just would like to thank everybody who made the August 2011 trip to Mount Hooley possible, Especially Les and Margy Welsh. Our son, Lewis had a great week away with all Empires boxers and has come home with lots of tales to tell and alot more mature in himself. This trip will be something Lewis will remember as he grows up and cant wait to go again next year! Keep up the good work Emipre!!!
